about

Official music video of the 7th track: youtu.be/oikm_mJZHVM

"PVC smoking", third album by Vincenzo Ramaglia, is an "IDM score" which combines electronics (following in the footsteps of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher and Autechre), acoustic instruments (cello, bass clarinet and sax in their more experimental and non-conventional use, following in the footsteps of Iannis Xenakis, Salvatore Sciarrino, Jonathan Harvey, Stefano Scodanibbio, Helmut Lachenmann, Giacinto Scelsi and John Cage), fretless electric bass (explored via arduous and virtuosic techniques, such as the polyphonies between harmonics and normal notes).

All that rigorously noted - probably for the first time in dance ambit - in a score, like an orchestral work, but without the exclusion of improvisational spaces.

In the opinion of the critics, "always moving with courage along the perilous boundaries between improvised and contemporary art music, light years from irritating diatonicisms and empty new ages, the young Roman composer distills a new masterpiece" (Max Marchini, Rockerilla), through "a schizophrenia that can probably become also a new synergy of listening" (Michele Coralli, Blow Up).
